In this episode, Malusk travelled in his past. Those incidents were not only sad, but they were pathetic, too. He and his family suffered plenty. Malusk could escape but with the tag of 'Wanted'. So, after describing that painful story, he wanted to know whether they would see him as a friend or not. They, all friends, gladly accept him as a friend.
A classic end makes the story more attractive.
