It is an excellent story. The narrator's father was pure and simple. He had many qualities. In that way, he could easily be called an ideal person. But, he was not such kind of person as an avid theist in foxholes. That quality made him incomplete. Therefore, a good lesson is there. A theist cannot be a complete person.
But God is merciful to us. So he appeared to that theist and made him fit again. Therefore, the man followed the rules of the Lord's law until death.
The readability of that story is fantastic.
The story can be an inspiration to us to be proper devotee.
