This is one of the most important chapters in this book. There is no doubt about it.
The side stories are too crucial to construct a novel. However, the main character is absent in this part of the story. But ultimately, it meets with the main story and works as a catalyst at the end.
The chapter is not a side not a side story because of the presence of the hero of the story. His presence is required for the sake of the story. He can see the difference between the two classes. Masters of the society live a luxurious life and slaves do not. That knowledge must be needed for Articus's success. The power of magicians also becomes active.
He meets master Reeper Reed who also will be part of his mission. That indication is there.
