Hallo!
Wow - that was unexpected! You began with a description of nature, drew a skillful comparison with thoughts and decisions — and wham! Suddenly there was a very real incident! *Ha* I love it!

The title, brief description and genres work. I wish you had a cover picture. I appreciate the easy-to-read type.

I like the whole thing, but if I have to pick a favourite phrase, it would be 'wet-nosed worry'. That's cuteness overload!

I also like the philosophical bits, about breaking point and about choices & consequences.
