I came across your story Defender of the Everglade Forest in this week's Short Story Newsletter. I enjoyed reading it very much.

You captivated my attention from the beginning and held it to the end. I enjoyed the tension build-up throughout the story. Keeping the identity of intruders hidden until close to the end was very effective. I couldn't wait to see who they were and why they were invading.

I cannot offer any suggestions for improvement because I feel that it does not warrant any; it is very well written.
