Hi Tanith .

I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Dear Me 2021.

The views and opinions on this review are mainly the things discovered by the reader and therefore, do not reflect necessarily to the group, activity and/or event being affiliated herein. This is only the opinion and suggestions of the reviewer and it is still up to the author of this piece to consider this review as a corrective action or otherwise.

*Note1* Overall Impression. Dear Me letters are some of the hardest and easiest letters to write. Over the 15 years I've been a member of WDC, I've written 13 Dear Me letters. Some were successful from the contest standpoint; most were not. But ALL were successful in focusing my effort toward both writing and life. I have set specific and general goals, both of which are essential to one's success.

Hardest: because it forces you to dig deep inside, to really face the demons, the pitfalls and the mental blocks that are keeping you from realizing your desire to succeed, whether in writing or in life. Turn those problems into strengths.

Easiest: because only you do know who you are, and what you can really do once you accept your path. Don't be afraid to channel your strength into your writing. You are the only person who can tell your story to the masses. Don't be afraid to shout it out!

Obviously I use writing for your consideration because you're here on WDC for some reason. And we both know that's writing.

*Writer* Editorial Thoughts.  You do well to identify those things that hinder your success and what you need to do to overcome them. You begin by stating those personal items.

*Bullet* I personally would have listed your own pain first. While I believe it's natural to want to help those around you, especially a family member first. But I submit that unless you are in the right frame of mind, both mentally and physically, you cannot help others. Yes, I agree--that's a personal observation on my part.

*Bullet* Time management is always a big thing for writers to overcome. You can write. Or, you can participate on WDC. But to succeed with both is to conquer time management. Consider that for future letter efforts.

*Exclaim* Technical Considerations. This section relates to the mechanics of your writing.

*Bullet* A personal note--whether you write a Dear Me letter for your own well-being and personal growth, or to succeed in the contest portion (or both), consider using a larger font and smaller paragraphs. Use bullets if possible. The Dear Me contest garners the most submissions for any official WDC contest. That's a LOT of reading for the judges, and anything you can do to help them is good.

*Star* My Rating. 4.5.  You were honest, personal and introspective with your letter.

*Heart* Thank you for sharing your offering.
