A Review from "The Iron Bank of Braavos!

Hi Webbie

My name is Lyn, I am one of the sly foxes.

Title: Instincts of mY Inner Animal

First Impression: I can see you as a wolf but my spirit animal to me is questionable. Mine is a moose. Don't laugh. Moose supposedly symbolize courage, authority, power and self-confidence. Their awkwardness symbolizes they need to withdraw sometimes to focus on inner strengths whereas a wolf is often mistaken as aggressive when in fact they're clever, intelligent, loyal and protective of each other. It's an interesting way to discuss your spirit animal.

What needs your attention: I did note an unusual rhyming pattern that doesn't seem to follow typical abab or acac or adad forms.

What part I liked best: The forest is mine, I can see you staking out your space and making sure it stays that way. The story unfolded with glimpses of a wolf's existence and what's important for their survival. Nicely done.

Overall impression: This four stanza poem introduces the reader to not only the wolf but the concept that we all have spirit animals. There's no doubt in this reader's mind the author's spirit animal is the wolf. She loves and protects her herd fiercely and wisely.
I value her friendship very much. *Heart*
