Hello Gaby ~ Keeper Of The Realm

First impression:

King's Landing is a forum page for additional challenges for game points in which players have to team up with someone of their own team or find adversaries/co-operatives in other teams (houses).

What works:

The banner with the picture of King's Landing, the description of what it's like to be a person in Westeros and on the roads. The text below the Pirate Cove picture and the banner with Daenerys and her dragons is inviting to keep going down the forum page to see what it is about.

What needs work:

As the players have to come up with collaborations and game points can be lost, this challenge is a little more like gambling than the other activities that Game of Thrones offers. A player can easily lose hard-earned points for her or his house and all the adversary had to do was nothing. I noticed that most battles are in response to Door #11, which shows how little incentive this page gives players to go out of their comfort zone of working hard and earning points on their own.

Final thoughts:

I think it's a good idea to encourage cross-house collaborations. But there was already one behind one of the early doors. Having a whole forum that requires collaboration is hard to want to deal with for the duration of the game. The part where points can get lost should be limited to those who refuse to heed the call of the activity that is offered. As long as the challenge is something that fits into the Game of Thrones tone, style, requirements, once challenged, the challenged house should have to take part in some way to stave off the loss of points. Of course, the loss of points should never be more than the 5,000 that are mentioned in the forum header per challenge.
