A Song for No One [13+] Only the birds are singing this morning. |
A "Game of Thrones" review from The views and opinions on this review are mainly the things discovered by the reader and therefore, do not reflect necessarily to the group, activity and/or event being affiliated herein. This is only the opinion and suggestions of the reviewer and it is still up to the author of this piece to consider this review as a corrective action or otherwise. Hello elizjohn I found this on the "Please Review" page. First impression: The title combined with the intro line gives this piece a melancholy feeling. The chosen genres "Emotional" and "Romance/Love" add to the premonition of something sorrowful to come. What works: The first impression holds true. The poem is one of sadness and loneliness. The images of the one person standing in beautiful nature and hearing the songs of birds, but wishing for the company of another there is palpable. The desire to see that person and hear this crowned king is made clear throughout the whole piece. What needs work: You could add a thumbnail picture from StoryMistress's vast library to give the item a little color and make it stand out more. Final thoughts: One thing that was not clear to me was whether the lonely narrator is alone because of a breakup or because the other half is no longer alive. The sorrow in the poem could be brought on by both since a break up can feel like something dies inside. Neat little piece you have here. I wish you all the best for your writing and hope you got a little something out of this review. My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
