Fall into Love

Autumn, situated between too hot summer and too cold winter, is the Goldilocks of seasons. In every way. The harvest is in. The forests are turning golden all around. Fireplaces get lit up. No better time to let the soul refresh with a sweet romance.

While every season is a great season to be in love, fall is unique in that it lends itself perfectly to falling in love. Not just as a pun, but in practical terms also.

Budding romances are best experienced doing things together. Summer's hot and stifling weather is in the past. With autumn comes the fresh air that invites long walks. Night comes early. A perfect excuse to invite each other up for a first time. Chasing the cold from the cheeks by lighting a lively fire and sipping smooth, warming hot cocoa while flirting above the rim of the mug.

Yes, autumn gives new couples all the reasons to find ways to spend more time snuggled up than any other season.

Why not winter? Because there is nothing left but snuggling. Let's not talk about winter.

As romance writer, make the most out of autumn in your writing. I know. I KNOW! Someone said that using weather is wrong. Whoever that was has never truly learned to appreciate the majesty of fall that practically forces writers to wax on about it.

Enjoy all those sweet, romantic stories and poems that made the most out of autumn in the editor's picks below.

Replies to my last Romance/Love newsletter "Summer Crush

Bikerider wrote: I enjoyed reading your July 1st Romance Newsletter. I agree with you; summer romance stories are great to read, and have so many possibilities for a romance that either ends at the end of summer or develops into a long term relationship.

Thank you for reading commenting.
