*Quill* When you create a static item, there are fields to fill out including your rating, content, whether you want reviews or ratings, type of item, and of course, genre that your piece fits in.

*Rolleyes* Recently, I received a Quill nomination and was reminded about adding 3 genre categories to each written items instead of one. There is a place for 3 different possibilities. I find it a challenge at times to pick three (or I get lazy *Wink*) yet adding more would give my piece more availability for a bigger readership. *Bigsmile*

Readers will often check the Browse by Genre tab and choose a category to read a review. Items will pop up to choose. It is a great way to find others who write in your genre too!

*Carb* When wandering around checking out ports, the genre line gives a reader a clue and if they see it is a genre they like, they may choose it. Titles catch my attention and then I look to see genre and type.... I like most things but have preferences as most folks do. It just makes sense to find and choose works in a genre that one is also writing especially if they review. We all help each other to improve our skills or just enjoy the expressions.

While it can be a challenge I can see where a poem might be about nature and if it has animals in it, it would fit with that genre too. If it a personal or emotional tone, those genres could be used as well. I sometimes find it tricky with some poems to find 3 categories. Often inspirational, philosophy, and personal come in handy as categories as a poem can have wisdom to offer or a point of view as well as emotional content. *Smile*

*Burstr* Proper rating can also influence potential readers. And it shows respect to others to give a heads up especially if you are using higher ratings like GC etc! *Smile* So get that right...
