Letter from the editor

A common phrase or recommendation when someone says they are tired of being alone or wondering when they will find their romance is to stop looking. You have to not focus on the chance for love and it will just show up. Sort of an advice in waiting to let things happen on their own. However, on the other side of things, there are times where the advice may be the opposite. Sometimes, in order to get what you want, you have to do something. Take action and forge a path towards a goal. Granted, having someone else fall in love isn't something one can control but there are steps that can be taken where the person focuses on reaching the goal of meeting someone.

But which way is the best for your story and character? Does your character want to find romance? If that is something on their mind already, then your story will probably take the action approach. You have have the character finding different ways to try and find someone.

However, if your character isn't looking for romance, then it can be more along the lines of not focusing on romance and having it show up along the way. They can have a different distraction that makes them not think about falling in love but they come across romance despite not expecting it.

Either way, you can have fun creating a romantic story.
