Journey To The Grave
From the first day we're born we slowly begin to die. I say slowly because when we're young life seems to just drag on-and-on; we can't get to eighteen fast enough. But as we age, and I say this from personal experience, life appears to speed up, the years go by way too quickly. I mean it just seems like yesterday we celebrated Christmas, and yet, here it is again.
Where'd the time go?
I measure the passage of time not by my birthday, or by New Years Eve, I measure it by Christmas. And I get to thinking about how many more I will actually see, how many more Christmas' will I celebrate?
So take a walk with me on our journey to the grave. Celebrate this Christmas like it will be your last. Reach out to those loved ones with good cheer, and give to the needy as if they were your family too. Because we are all family of this world until we finally move on to the next.

A Family Reunion Around The Christmas Dinner Table Takes A Strange Turn

Long
before
there are any
Christmas presents to
be found -- or hanging on
the door a festive wreath for you
to see; preceding any mouth-watering
foods or fancy decorations all around -- there
must at first come the Wondrous Christmas Tree.
Standing so majestically from the floor up to the roof.
Quite perfectly hand-picked and just as nearly childproof. The
smell is more than pine -- it’s more like fresh snow-covered woods.
Filled with anxious anticipation, the culmination of childhood. But if that’s not
quite enough -- strings of electric brilliance are wrapped ‘round and ‘round.
Ornaments and candy canes keep children exquisitely spellbound. And up upon
the very top an angel sits so daintily -- watching over
everyone and
the Wondrous
Christmas Tree.
