Prep!

Coming up with a unique idea for a contest or activity can be a little difficult. But definitely give it a try. Think about the season, the holiday, or something fun you'd like to do, and form it into a contest can be fun. Yes, prep takes some work, but working out the details BEFORE you open a contest or activity can prevent a lot of questions and headaches.

Think outside the box. Maybe something about your pet, or your travel would be interesting. A contest where members show their job from behind the scenes could be fun. A seasonal food/recipe activity would be something interesting.

Think about holidays and a twist on celebrating. Learning about holidays not celebrated in your country could be educational.

So while you're laying on a beach relaxing on your vacation or snuggled in front of a winter fire, plan ahead. Our community will be celebrating a birthday in a few months, and December is always jam-packed with good times on the site, so plan ahead so you're not overwhelmed.

Working out the details and rules for your contest and activity takes time. Explaining everything but not overwhelming a reader can be tricky. Think everything through and ask a friend to look it over with fresh eyes. It might make sense to you but someone reading it the first time might not understand.

Take advantage of review rewards and bank some gift points. "The Writer's Cramp - Poetry Week [13+] pays out 10,000 gift points every day to the winner. Click Community and then Read & Review in the left column and get rewarded there. "Good Deeds Get CASH! [E] could possibly pay you well for reviewing. Take it to the bank!

And please, if you create something new or have a fun idea, write into our newsletter, we'd love to feature your item!
