The Holidays can be a lot of fun... so long as everything goes according to plan!

Letter from the editor

Hello everyone! I have the honour of being your guest-Editor for this week. Hopefully, those of you who are doing something for the Holidays are having a wonderful time. Of course, I hope the same for everyone else *Smile*.

Personally, I am absolutely rushed off my feet getting everything ready. It's Christmas Eve as I am writing this, and I just got done shopping for some presents today. The plan was to get up really early to catch the outdoor market in the nearby town. There are lovely stalls there this time of year – lots of nice soaps and candles and all sorts of great little goodies to give as extra presents.

Unfortunately, I overslept a little. When I woke up it was nearly 11 am, so I had to dash around to get ready, thinking I would catch the 11:15 am bus. I broke my comb, trying to do my hair. It got all tangled up and it was not easy to detach the comb from my curls.

I made it to the bus stop, just in time. Something was wrong, though... I had the nagging feeling that my jeans did not fit quite right... As inconspicuously as I could, I undid the zip of my coat, only to find out that, yes, I had indeed put my jeans on, but had forgotten to button them up. They were slowly sliding down – the downside of my “lose some weight before the Holidays” plan.

Cars were going by, people were walking across the street... I had a problem. There was only one thing to do, and that was to simply not care and fix the problem, no matter who was looking. I did.

That over and done with I realised I had been at the bus stop for quite a while. The bus should have arrived. I decided to have a look at the bus times. Which was just as well, as there wouldn't be a bus for another half hour – Sunday schedule.

Back at home, my house mate was finally out of bed, leisurely enjoying a cuppa, checking his email. When he heard me come home, he casually informed me that there wouldn't be a bus going to town for a while yet. So kind of him!

I did make it into town, though, and got all my shopping in and wrapped up *Smile*.

For those of you stressing about this season, I hope everything went a bit more smoothly for you! And for those of you who do not celebrate the Holidays, well, there are times when I envy you.

My apologies for the lack of intelligent and helpful Editorial this week. I have lists and lists of things to do still, and am about falling asleep in my chair.

I hope you all have a lovely week!
