Gift Points!

Gift Points are a part of nearly every contest and activity on Writing.Com. You can find many people and groups out there requesting Gift Points for one use or another. So, in that light, I came up with a list of ways to increase your Gift Point stash!

Review!
There are many ways to earn Gift Points reviewing: Daily Review Rewards (currently 5x the base amount), Review Mixer Gift Points for reviewing people you haven't reviewed before, as a gift from the reviewee, from people parusing the public review list, and from activities that reward reviewing, such as "Invalid Item
Also, don't forget to look for items that Auto-Reward reviews.
When using any of the above methods, make sure your reviews are helpful and that you're not adding extra characters just to reach 250 characters.

Enter Contests!
Even if you don't win, many contests out there offer prizes just for entering!

Log Onto The Site!
Every day that you are active on the site, you receive Gift Points.
Also, the more active you are around the site, the more likely someone is to notice you. The more you help others around the site, the more likely you are to come across someone who will be willing to help you.

Take Surveys!
Surveys have the option of awarding Gift Points upon completion. Look around and you may find some that do.

Use Scroll!
If you have an Upgrade Membership or above, The Scrolling Messages area allows people to sponsor games with Gift Point prizes. It's a fun way to have a little break.

Participate In Raffles!
A bit of a gamble, but raffles can be a way to earn Gift Points, usually while helping a site charity in the process. Before entering a raffle (or any other activity on the site, for that matter) make sure you read through all the guidelines. The payout for each raffle is different and so is the way it is run.

Purchase Them!
Don't forget, you can always use the Store to buy Gift Points when needed.

Getting Something For Nothing!
Even if you don't earn the Gift Points you hoped to, there are many groups on the site out there willing to help with various expenses, from upgrades (like "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group [E]) to awardicons and other gifts (like "Invalid Item ).

Ask & Answer

In my last newsletter (In March), I challenged readers to use various items found in the bottom of my Writing.Com tote bag in a creative way.

The most unique answer came from poripet
I would use the items to make a collage-style, personalized Valentine's Day card (even though right now I'd have to wait nearly a year before I could send it!) Also I don't have blue eyes, but that is not important. I would use the rubber band to make the outline of a face, the peppermint candies for eyes, the pop can tab for a nose, the gum wrapper for hair, and unbend the paper clips to fashion a smiling mouth in my love-sick visage. Then I'd glue the fortune cookie wrapper overhead and cut up the concert flyers to construct an anonymous message inside the card, signing my Valentine's message with a '?' using the pen. As for the lint, I'm not sure how that'd come in handy, but I'm sure it would at some stage!

See ya on the 20th!
