About This Newsletter

At this time of year I seem to fall in love with love all over again. Everything seems to be fresh and new, I know this is usually reserved for spring, however, I believe winter does it for me. The cool, crisp air brings redness to you cheeks, letting you know you are alive. The goodwill everyone shows one another rekindles the true spirit of human beings, love for everyone.

Letter from the editor

Belgian horses gallop along the snow blanketed road, sleigh bells jingle as the carriage carries a young couple through town. The glow from the street lights illuminate each snowflake as it falls upon the love stricken pair. Hap, the older gentleman driver, slows the ride down just enough to lay a blanket across the couples lap as they snuggle closer together. He smiles as his memory reflects upon the many sleigh rides of his long life.

The scene unmistakably expresses winter love of holiday seasons past. It's this type of writing which makes you fall instantly in love with romance itself. Placing yourself inside a scene you are trying to create can sometimes make your writing stronger. Being able to “see” yourself there like a dream will help bring vividity to your story.

No matter which way you see the holiday/winter season; be it a joyous or sad, your writing will reveal this aspect. Both feelings are more than acceptable. If done right, your reader will embrace this emotion the way you intended, and be touched as much as you were while creating the piece.

I hope you enjoy the links below...I've enjoyed each one. One feels unfinished to me(see if you can tell which one), but sometimes our love can be unfinished making our stories incomplete as well. And if you write anything about wintry love, I would like to see your creation.
