Stylized much after another great fundraiser, this special event has been designed to draw enthusiasts from the far corners of WDC. Raffle tickets can be purchased from three separate categories, each which house several prizes to win. Instead of bidding on these prizes, you are entering into a raffle to win them. For each prize a virtual dice will be drawn to determine the winner.
Designed to help raise funds for some very reputable groups, as well as to aid in a membership and contest support, this fundraiser has packages of all sizes and varieties. Donations are still being accepted, as well as tickets are selling like hotcakes. This event will run through the end of January, so don't miss out on your opportunity to participate in raising funds for some worthy causes, while also putting your name in the hat for some fabulous prizes.

If any of your New Year's resolutions had anything to do with writing, then this is the newsletter you should be reading. Here you will be re-introduced to a couple of great places to find venues to showcase and enhance your writing skills. Many writers would like feedback on the item they have labored over, and yet, are not sure where to go. One great thing this site has to offer, is a large quantity of contests to enter. There a writer can gain exposure, as well as possible reviews and feedback, to help them with their writing. These contests range over the various genres and have a niche for everyone.
There are many ways to find contests to enter, and there are new contests opening all the time. If the host of the contest wishes to gain maximum exposure to draw entrants, they may post their contest at "Writing Contests @ Writing.Com" . This is one of the famous plug pages the site has set up, this one specifically for contests. Here hosts may plug their current contest and garner exposure amidst other contests.
Where do you go if the type of contest you are looking for isn't on the plug page for contests? How do you find that contest to suit the genre you are looking for? On the right upper corner of the page is a search tool to help with such a case. In the first search bar, post the word Contests in the second bar, select the genre you would like to specify the search for, or you could leave this as it is. In the third bar, select forums , and then select search You will be directed to a new page listing contests. You can further adjust the selections to search out newer contests first, or last, as well as most visited, and many other refinements for your search.
There are many places to look for contests. Now that you know where to find them, I challenge you to enter a contest this next week. Let me know through newsletter feedback why you chose that contest and how you did.
