Oreo doesn't need the blankets as much. He's long-haired, so he doesn't get as cold. But he can only lay down if he has a pillow to curl up on. So, no matter how hot I am, I have to have a blanket and pillow in my chair with me at all times. Either that or they drive me crazy. 
We leave a sheet on it so they won't pick it up too much with their claws. We also put old pillows and a blanket up there. Since I just explained how the two of them work, you understand why. Both of these dogs are sweeties, but they do like to aggravate each other. Maddie will sleep burrowed under the blanket for hours until she needs to go outside or get something to eat. So then Oreo, who is passive-aggressive, nonchalantly gets off his pillow and mosies on over to lay down on top of her blanket. The average person would think there's no way he does it on purpose. HA! He does it all the time. Maddie returns to the couch and tries to get under the blanket even though Oreo is on it. He totally ignores her like he has no idea what her problem is. She'll whine and paw at the blanket until finally, she jumps down and wanders over to my chair where she knows I will cover her up.
Next time, I'll tell you how Maddie is not so passive-aggressive with Oreo. She's a stinker, and honestly, deserves what he does to her. It's just so funny how he goes about it.
