About This Newsletter

Life throws us curve balls, running us through a gambit of emotions. The best emotion of all is happines, and nothing envokes happiness more than laughter. There is a science to making others laugh, and it is through that science that comedy has evolved.

This topic of this week's Comedy Newsletter is Resolutions.

Letter from the editor

With the New Year comes rebirth and the chance for resolutions. Some people resolve to lose weight, others to quit smoking. Still others resolve to spend more time working out or writing, and others try to limit their spending or cut back on eating unhealthy foods.

But what about the less common resolutions? The ones that make no sense. The rejected resolutions, so to say?

To eat as much as I can until I pop. I don't know many people who resolve to eat more. This one is the leading reject, because people generally tend to want to be healthier in the next year, not fatter.

To drink myself under the table on a daily basis. Unless you have serious issues, I doubt this made your resolution list for the year.

To spend all of my free time watching television. Well, maybe a couch potato will resolve this, but it's doubtful.

To spend all of my money on wasteful things like pork rinds and energy drinks. I guess the two would offset each other, though. The energy drinks would make you hyper and you'd burn off the 2,500 calories from eating ten packages of pork rinds in one sitting.

To be as mean to everyone around me as possible. It'll prove their love, if they stick around to take your crabbiness. Maybe this one shouldn't be a reject, after all.

Either way, if you did make a resolution this past New Year, I hope it was a good one and that you are able to stick to it all year.

Do you have any past resolutions that you can't believe you made? Share them with me!
