*SantaHat* Christmas in July *StockingG*

Christmas is ....well.... right around the corner. Six months from now everyone will be busy with holiday preparations and travel. Yes, yes, I know it's early. But it's never too early to do some planning. If you're thinking about a contest or activity for the fall or winter season, preparation needs to begin now.

September brings Writing.com's 19th birthday and all the excitement and fun celebrations. A ton of activities and contests run in celebration of our site birthday. On the heels of that come the winter contests and "Season Tickets in November. If you or your group is interested in donating an item for raffle, start brainstorming and saving your gift points now. Perhaps you can come up with something fun and unique!

Don't forget reviews make nice gifts...any time of the year. Whether it is a review of someone's writing, a contest they're hosting or a group activity, constructive suggestions are always welcome. I have an image shop and get swamped with images requests at the very last minute. Hey! Don't be that guy! Order gifts early or send gift certificates so your friends can shop at their leisure. If you run an activity or raffle kind of thing, be sure you're available to close the activity at the date and time stated. It's nearly impossible to do so from an airport lounge.

Last of all, if you're doing something for the season, don't be afraid to ask for assistants. No one minds helping with little tasks for a day or two. That takes a little pressure off you and you can enjoy your activity.

And as always...be prepared, and Write On!

This month's question: Are you going to run your activity or contest again this fall/winter season? Send in your link to it below! *Down* Editors love feedback!
