A thunderous night leads to a calming light.
A TASTE OF RAIN

by

E C Wesch

Drenched in a gown of glistening grace,
The earth absorbs the nectar.
While spindly rivulets of liquid lace,
Dance in every sector.

A thunderous applause echoes the thrill,
Of illuminated measure.
While highlighting with the added skill,
The worth of God's rich treasure.

The daring wind and cleansing shower,
Calmed by the coming light.
Eases the thirst of it's earthly bower,
By the end of the blustery night.

The fiery orb cresting o'er the hill,
Brings an end to the darkened sky.
And nighttime's dew dissipates its fill,
As sunlight glows on high.

While a gentle breeze tickles the trees,
A melodious dance ensue.
Rustling leaves and bustling bees,
Take lessons from nature's cue.

The world awakens to Mother Nature's light,
Her message is sent anew.
Now all little creatures emerge in flight,
To bathe in her golden hue.
