This monologue is a preview to an original story in the works based on the L&O:SVU series.
A desperate-looking and tired young man stumbles into St. Christopher's Catholic Church looking around to see if any police are in the building. He heads into a confessional booth and sits down.
"Are you alright my..." the priest said but he's interrupted.
"Father, please just let me talk. I don't know what elst to do or where to go. I've been charged with a rape and murder I didn't do. To make matters worse who ever crashed the bus I was on killed the two guards and they tried to kill me. I don't know if I should turn myself in and risk a beat cop trying to knock me off or go after the guys that framed me and take on two sides at once." The young man said.
The priest has a look of concern on his face, knowing that his words could send him in either direction.
"My son; in the worst of times the right choice is never the easiest one. But this is one choice you have to make for yourself." The priest said.
"Thanks, you haven't let me down yet." The young man says as he exits the booth.
"Lord, have mercy on Justin's soul. He needs all the help you can give him." The priest said.
