A friend and I wrote this one day in class.
The Breeze
I feel wind rushing through
As I begin to breathe
I believe I am the wind - soulless as it is
The cold air hugs my bare chest
Making me shiver in a way I am unaware of
Goosebumps rise on my skin
A shiver runs down my spine
For a moment I am relieved from all stress
All thoughts
For a moment I am perfect
No one can tell me what to do
No one can touch me
But instantly I return to normal
And the breeze is gone
But the moment was great enough to last a lifetime
Leaving me free to feel
To live
