The demon

Careful of the demon, he is always there.
He is the one who clouds the vision,

And when you look in the mirror you are unaware.
He doesn't want you to see the monster that you have become yet can't envision.

For he knows when you do finally see beyond,
He will lose this battle of good and evil.

So when you see your reflection like ripples in a pond,
You know the monster of addiction has his hold on you still.

Remember the person you were way back when,
Know that deep down the person you are,

Is the person you will need to be in the end.
And never forget about the demon, who is never far.
