We all think it but we can't all be it
Fires rage in the dead of night
I see an eagle fall from the midst of flight
Agun goes off another child falls
Corruption seeps through Hallowed halls

The twilight sky is blocked with crimson red
in just a moments time there are thousands dead
There fate determined by a strangers hand
He pulls the trigger from a foreign land

*Chorus*
But I digress, I guess
everything stays the same, only memories change
The good ol' days, their only a fable, childs play
Don't cry, Everyone has to die
the world will keep turning 'round, like it's done before
Don't fear, you know it won't happen here
so tuck the kids into bed, live your life, ignore the evening news

Sun beats down upon a baron land
have you tried to eat from an empty hand?
the loudest sound is from a million cries
it grows stronger now, as another dies

She says a prayer and tosses dirt upon
the peaceful body of her final son.
A mother's anguish mised with feelings of
relief of ended pain, she had no strength to love

*chorus*

Bridge
Disillusion shroud in masks of confusion
misery marks the new revelation
the hero rides away on his gallant steed
a knife in the back from the wound he bleeds
We put our trust into a few good men
but when the dust is cleared, who's gonna save us from them

Silence echos through the still of night
she lies down to sleep everythings alright
an hour hater he comes tearing in
now her life is over and her hell begins

She was someones baby, she was someones wife,
now she's nothing more than another empty life
What has to happen so we'll finally see
She had also said it couldn't happen to me.
