I wrote this poem for my brother after he took his life.
The wise, the holy, all who care
A blackness inside many weary soul
Another sunrise waiting to be seen
Left alone in this hole to rot away

Far from all in which makes the real
Tare from the insides all that is
Fear nor believe the twisted unknown
And hold dear all that is already known

Watch the life slip, the reality already split
And it really goes to show, how much we’ll never know
As the body falls beneath the final blow
And the soul now succumbed by the flow

Never to forget the rest who follow the steps
As past, present, and future blur and fold to be one
A final fabricated dream of those loved
Only to be left alone beside oneself

So watch another’s story unfold
Open eye and see all in mind
One last time to begin again
Within a world void of sin
Once this ends, nothing may be the same
As the whole damn thing falls below
Here and now just to be once again
