You only realize what you had, when you have nothing at all.

Please
Rape me of my pleasures,
The ones I cannot measure.
Take away my treasures,
Bury the money and the gold,
Tell all the stories untold,
Even those of when you weren’t bold.
Take away the sugarcoated,
The painless, show the devoted,
Hard-working, not always loaded,
The hurt, the broken, the torn,
The scandalous, scheming, unborn,
All the things forlorn.
Take me.
Take of me, my virginity.
Reveal my mediocrity.
Take me far where it’s cheap.
Take away all my sleep,
For my soul, you can keep.
Please take away my beauty,
Take away my energy.
Please,
Set me free.
Bare me my emotions,
These protective lotions,
And all of my devotion.
Bridge the gap somehow,
Remind me of
What
I have
now!
