a short poem using music to comtemplate meaning
What if, like a drum,
Thoughts are beaten in to us by divine hands?
What if, like a guitar,
Our movements are just the strumming of practised hands?
What if, like a violin,
Our voices are nothing but the stroking of a bow on our vocal cords?
What if, like music,
We are really meaningless yet beautiful and moving?
What if, like music,
We are just entertainment for a bored God?
What does that say about divinity?
