If you only knew how many times,
I've closed my eyes
And tried to find the strength
to look you in the eyes,
and ask you to come back to me.

I've come so close a thousand times
The words won't come out,
My throat gets dry
My lips can't move and
My thoughts go blank,
Just to ask you to come back to me.
