The world will not stop, no matter how much you wish...

~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~

The wind is so still;
the voices of fall whisper
so very gently
to the ever restless plain.

~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~

The calm before the storm,
I know.
I do not see how the wind
can be so peaceful
when my heart
is so troubled and confused.

~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~

But I know that life
will still go on,
as it has for hundreds of years…

~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~*Flower3*~

No one's troubles have ever stopped it
and now, me,
wanting the world to stop…

I try to drink in the sight
of the sun and the sky,
willing myself
to remember.

But alas,
my attempt fails,
much like trying
to stop the world...
