This is based on real life. I write upon request & also make it as adaptable as I can.
Growing up I was able to do almost anything.
As long as dad didn’t know.
I played at the park with the kids,
I would play all day long.
My chores had to be done before dad would get home.
If they weren’t you could guarantee…
That my butt was sore, when he got a hold of me.

We moved way up North, away from those friends.
To a new town, that I had never been in.
By this time, mom and dad had it made.
I got whatever I wanted, every time they got paid.
I never had to work,
I was spoiled you might say.
All I had to do,
Was go to school and play ball all day.

I had a kid early,
It was kind of rough.
I dated many people,
That couldn’t put up.
They were of my choosing.
In my life and my child’s.
My mom didn’t approve,
She disowned me one day.
Because I had a life she didn’t want for me.
And decided to go my own way.
