A collection of poetry/ideas from the past. Mostly about love and spirituality
From the Deep Silence

The quiet mind
Free of desire
Free of thought
Everything contained

The Waking World

I have risen before
The rise of a new day
Before the opening of the door
To see the sun lighting the way

Te amo
Con el corazon que te doy
Pero no sabes
Te necesito hoy

Someone I'll Never Be

I want to be
Who you want
But I can only be me
Is that good enough for you?
It doesn't matter
What time we had together is through

I've searched in your eyes
And found two people
Having a good time

The person by your side
Wasn't me
Only someone I'll never be

Only time will tell
If I can break your spell
What can I show?
How much more can love grow?

I know now there's nothing to fear
It's your voice I want to hear
Not the whispers of the wind

Don't you notice how I cry inside?
Can't you see the love I hide?
It kills me within

I'm tired of seeing you walk away
Tired of seeing you with him
Tired of feeling this way

I'm excited just to talk to you
But afterwards I feel
I did something wrong
I feel guilty

But later
When you enter my thoughts
I never want you more

Of Good and Evil

Conflict
Fights to the end
Where hate and bloodshed walk hand in hand
Where peace is a crying child
And love has lost its place
War, an aggressor without a face
People dying not knowing the cause
Violent, relentless, killing without pause
The cause
The differences we see
But we are all different, you and me
Is peace something that will never be?
Will we walk blind the rest of our lives?

Spirit of the Sky

At night
I can see the light
Above the clouds I see
The world in front of me

When it's a cloudy day
I see a way
To find the sun
Above the clouds
Is where I've begun

Up in the sky
I hear angels sigh
For the people below
Who cannot grow

To let go
Of the world I know
To say good-bye
So I can fly
If only I could fly...

To get away
From the lies they say
I want something more
Found just outside that door

To feel the wind in my hair
Up in the sky where I don't care
About anyone or anything
Up where freedom truly rings.

Up where my spirit will finally fly
To a place where I will no longer cry
Way up in the wild blue sky

I want my spirit to soar
Right out the open door
No longer having to think
About the answers we seek
Why are we all so weak?

I can't take it anymore
Not being able to open the door
To the place where I can be free
The place no one has ever seen

My spirit is stuck on the ground
Deaf to all sounds
Lost in what I've seen
How can this be?
True sight has gone

But when it's time
For me to fly
Rays of light
Will break through
And heaven will shine

I see it in your eyes
In your smile
In my heart
Seeing you opens the door
Gives me a place to start

I've had to solidify my heart, make it impenetrable, but you always broke through my defences. I felt you in my soul. I have long dreamed about when I would come before you and give you my heart but now that the moment has come, I question myself on whether I want to take the chance that it break again...

When she is near
I watch her go
The things I fear
Feelings I can't show

I taste the pollution in the air
Ifeel the bitterness in my heart
I can't tell where this world ends
And where it starts

I am selfish,
I want you two to break up
But I also care too much about you
I never want you to get hurt

You're happy and
That's all that matters

One Moment

What are we searching for?
What do we want?
What are we fighting for?
What will be left?

The River

A tear falls in the river
It carries on with the flow
And then I shiver
It starts to rain

Can my heart
Move me to safety
Is this the start
Of my destiny

Or do I walk alone...

The River (alternate)

Where does the current flow
The river
Where the trees grow
And the people gather
We are all connected

Where do we go?
Does it ever slow?
Does time know?
