Another poem about my feelings regarding my mom's death.
I was wondering if maybe I could ask
For just a favor or two . . .
I know it seems like when I call
there’s something I need from you.

I promise if you do this one thing for me
I wont ask for anything more.
I know I say that each call to you
But I mean it this time for sure.

I need an answer to help me
Help me to get through this pain.
If you can answer this honestly I promise,
I’ll try not to bother you again.

Why would you take my mother
When you know that we all need her so bad?
Why would you make her suffer so long
With a sickness earned by my dad?

To take her with a disease of the liver
A disease so painful and slow.
Could you explain please why she deserved that
She never took a drink, as you know.

Drinking was a part of her daily routine
Putting up with Dad and his way.
She had a short break of 6 years
Almost to the exact day.

So tell me God in all your wisdom
Why was her life so full of pain?
Tell me how it is you decide who gets what,
and I’ll never bother you again.
