This poem is about the choices that some young women face everyday.

A young girl is faced with a choice more difficult than many.
She asks the baby's father for help, but of course she wont get any.
To keep it or not, that is such a hard decision.
Once a choice has been made there can be no revision.
She's scared and all alone.
She wants to tell her parents, but she knows they wont condone.
They would never approve if the found out.
They'd shut her out without a doubt.
She wishes that this would all just go away.
Now for her foolish mistake she must pay.
She has to make a choice and soon.
Her appointment at the clinic is at noon.
She hasn't decided that she'll go.
She's still unsure, she doesn't know.
She sits and thinks about this tiny life.
The one that's causing all this strife.
It didn't ask to be here, it's not the baby's fault.
She realizes this as she tastes her tears of salt.
Either choice she makes will affect her for the rest of her days.
In so many countless ways.
She's unsure which route to choose.
What would you do in her shoes??
