For You, my Friend. I Love you & I miss you. I pray someday we will see each other again.
Geese flying in formation, cold sun behind bare trees.
Grinding like an incantation, the seasons change and all time flees.
And still I sit here; still I wait...writing you letters every day...
As though my words could gain the power when recorded in this way
To bring you back, back home to me; to have the chance to live like family-
But still I'll have to wait...more than a year's past since the date
That I last saw you, saw your face...heard your voice and felt the trace
Of a smile pass between us...we had almost reached the place
Where contentment and pure joy both live, and happiness of herself does give
For Friends that know the love of Life, and do not dwell on pain and strife.
If only we'd had Time, Dear Friend, to find the place; rewrite the end...
But things did not work out that way, and so I am alone today...
Just missing you and wishing that I had your pleasant company
As Time moves on, the sun retires and Darkness swallows goose and tree.
