Thoughts of my grandson, Benjamin.
{c}Benjamin, age 17, grandson number one.

Ode to Benjamin

Where are you, my blue-eyed baby?
Where'd you go, my fair-haired boy?
It seems like only yesterday
You were crawling on the floor.

What have you been doing lately?
How did all this time fly by?
I don't seem to know you anymore.
And I'm left to wonder why.

Did you ever think about me?
Did you wonder why I stayed
Out of sight and out of mind,
Those long and lonely days?

I wish you joy and happiness,
I wish you great succees.
I wish you long and healthy life,
For you deserve the best.
