subconsciously, i knew we weren't right for each other..
I made a promise based on my beliefs
But beliefs change with the passing of time
When will I grow my lonely wings and learn to fly?

With the tip of your blade,
Pierce the soul that bleeds more than any physical pain
And rest assured, I will not die in vain
But these lonely wings have still yet to come…

A freedom once tasted sweet to my tongue
A love irreplaceable, fresh and young
No greed or selfishness could poison the fruit
Courage, loyalty, it was all about you
But my lonely wings had yet to come…

Something bitter, at the tip of my tongue
Wasted, used, no longer young
Not greed, nor selfishness, but eyes alone
Planted a seed of knowledge to grow
My lonely wings…
To take me home

My lonely wings weeping, flew me away
Past place and time, to a window of air
In this window I sat
Where my wings became undone
Alone I sat, no way back
To breathe in a window all alone
