This poem is about society's conceptions of mental illness.
The walls around me are flaking
I see millions of eyes waking
The water is rising, i'm drowning
All around, faces are frowning

Thousands of people cringing
My mind is slowly unhinging
My body inside is breaking
Everyone around me is faking

I fight, kicking and screaming
I know i'm no longer dreaming
My reality is quickly leaving
My mind, again, deceiving

Everything has changed
Society labelled me deranged

But my soul is free
Because all that's left...
is me.
