Moments of helplessness during crisis.
Where has the man gone?
The one that protected and chided,
         frightened and guided.
You are nowhere to be found.
I keep watch over a stranger.
         A machine made man,
         who does not know that I am here.
Unspoken words still cling to the air,
         screaming to be heard,
         soaring instead, out the window
         to lay broken on the ground below.
I turn to see your cold, gray face
         And wish that I could join them.
