The dark side of living...brutal honesty exists.
Truth Afflicted


Drink in my life
Release my inner strife
Tame my angered spirit
Soothe my aging life

Feelings are so fragile
A word can be a scythe
Slash a blade of truth
Afflict a sense of flight

Share in my agony
Embrace an ego spent
Cross the last, vast darkland
In which my soul pays rent

Shadows bring to light
A slower moment sent
Memories weep in harmony
Striking chords of repent

Blue wonders travel forward
Enveloping my mind
Agate swirls of water
Stands the test of time
