This was wrote for a close friend of mine, for his girlfriend.
I still wake up each morning, wishing you were here,
A part of me still empty, my heart which shed those tears,
I never chose to feel this way, a choice I never had,
I wear a mask of happiness, but deep down I am sad.

I turn to say I love you, then realise you're not there,
Those special words I used to say, are lost upon the air,
Lost I feel without you, long for you I do,
I want to be back in your life, I swear these words are true.

My memories have built a statue, years it took to make,
Forever will it be there, never will it break,
A painted picture of you, hung within my mind,
Always there for me see, if ever I am blind.

Remember all the good times, don't bring back the bad,
For the years I spent as part of you, were the happiest I ever had,
Now a tear falls in sorrow, now a tear falls in pain,
One thing is for certain, I will never love again.
