Chapter I
Prologue
A dry wind blew through what use to be the catacombs of Israel. Fifteen centuries and a world war has left mankind a wasteland of sand and death.
Rakel sat on a grave and mulled over his situation.
Just one more king to find, he thought then my Arab brethren may rule. Maybe even restore life to this dead planet.
“General!” the Arab scout called Jeak came scrambling over the dunes shouting at the top of his lungs. “We’ve found them! The Kashie’s are in Cherub, hiding their people in the ruins of the old world.”
Rakel just grinned and gestured for Jeak to go back to the camp.
Once Rakel was sure he was alone, he mounted his white camel.
“I’m coming for you Solomon.” he mouthed.

Chapter 1
Cherub ruins: 12:00 P.M modern time—
A rain of fire came down upon the hiding place of the Kashie kingdom. Prince Daniel mounted his fastest horse and took off through the rubble of a city where his father had so hastily hidden their people. The young prince alerted as many of his people as he could on his way to the gate. Among those fortunate enough to hear the prince, were the three foreign ‘sisters’ of Kashie, Abby of America, Nancy of the seven seas, and Kale of the four winds (called so because no-one ever found out where she came from.)
“What’s all this fuss Kale?” Nancy yawned.
“The prince has gone mad is what the fuss is. I told you this would happen if Solomon babied him too much.” Abby growled.
“Ladies,” Kale interrupted “I don’t think he’s gone mad. Look, fire arrows. That can only mean one thing.”
“The Arabs? Impossible.” Abby squinted looking out the window. “There’s no way they found us…”
“It’s been three years dear, they were bound to wise up sooner or later…” Kale forced a pathetic laugh then went back to looking stone faced out the window.
“A-ha!” Nancy celebrated, pulling a shiny new dagger out from under her pillow. “I’ve been itching to break this baby in!”
“No Nancy.” Kale scolded closing the curtains.
“She’s right Nancy. One hundred swords against your one dagger? I’m not a scholar –yet—but I can say I don’t like those odds.” Abby grabbed a few scrolls and opened a trap door in the floor. “Are we ready to go girls?” She asked stepping in.
“Actually, I think I’m going with Nancy on this one.” Kale grasped around in the dark and found her brown hooded trench coat and diamond cross amulet.
“Excuse me?” Abby was shocked. Kale was supposed to be the sensible one. Charging into an army was not something Kale usually recommended.
“You know the Kashai people. They won’t fight and you know that brat Daniel is trying to fend them off single handedly.”
“Oh I see. You want the royals to invite you to their court. Well here’s an insight. You cant be a courtier if your DEAD!” Abby shouted.
“If we’re gonna do something we better do it quick my friends.” Nancy rushed.
“Fine then. Abby you take the scrolls to the outlands and wait for me. Nancy you evacuate as many people as you can find. Try and wake up the people that are still sleeping so they can get away.” Kale instructed.
“And what about you?” Nancy asked.
Kale grabbed one of three swords from the clay wall. “I’m going to help the prince with the Arabs.”

Pillars of Cherub/ Gates of Kashie
It took a lot of courage for Daniel to stand in front of an entire army—that or a lack of brains.
“This is not our fight! Neither yours nor mine.” The prince of Kashai cautioned.
The rowdy army ceased fire and fell silent. A path began to clear through the center of the force. Eventually the broad shouldered general appeared in front of Daniel and his horse— in need of a shave, but obviously in good shape.
Both parties stood in silence for a little while, until the general spoke.
“It’s our war now.” He grinned spinach-toothed grin then thrust a saber into the prince’s side and forced him off of his horse.
