poem about let down and pain
Time
Driving home from work one night
She looks by her side to see
A life that has yet to take flight

You're only 18 is what they say
Too young to even drink
But they don't know
What they can't see
It's enough to make one think

Afriad to posess the potential she can
Nervous to lend a helping hand
Upset with all the let down she's had
Angry that no one ever asks

Always gives and never takes
Push and Pull
It's how a heart breaks
All she wants and will ever need
Is something that will never be

Getting home from work later that night
She climes into bed and turns out the light
She prays to God that one day she'll find
Her true prince charming for real this time
Letting those thoughts carry her away
She closes her eyes to wake up to a new day

Ready to get up
And take her run
Then make a list of what needs to get done
To go to work and come home again
And remind herself to laugh every now and then
