A poem about the Devil's ascension and demise and the weapon that kills him.

Ascension and Demise

The thunder rolled
in night so long
as lightning struck
in bleakest dawn.

A storm had come
to light the fires,
impassioned flames
of Hell's desires.

With hate-filled eyes
and scorching breath,
he took some lives,
his face was death.

An angry tale
of those who burn
in total fear
of Evil's wyrm.

I loathed the sounds
in searing flame,
a demon screamed
and called my name.

This killer born
with rabid hate,
my mortal soul
he'd desecrate.

From ashes came
my destiny
to hate this foe
and enemy.

The wounds I wear
are brands for life,
I pierced his heart
with a sacred knife.

As Satan died
he turned to see
the knife I held
the Spear of Destiny.
