Saturn and Gemini witness to our unrequited love
Ramble

Desire inflames spangled lips,
red pumps stir sparks
on a catwalk windy with stars,
a galaxy dazzled by black nylon
and red garters,
as the pulse grows
from an approaching comet
rambles ever nearer, searching
for hot sweet nector
of your wet candy kiss,
and in the shadows,
planets sway like soft sweet fruit
and a taste of sugary pears.

Tingles on your lips linger on mine,
collecting heat and shimmering
in blue glitter; your mouth
dissolves in sugary granules
smeared of lipstick, even your eyes
are meteors pulled by an irresistible
force I can't resist,
bending your body like a knife
half opened, your red lips tingle
and a desert wind murmurs
dangerous promises whispered

over nibbled ear lobes, soft sighs
sparking fires over heavenly
bodies, sparking out of control,
Saturn and Gemini witness
to our unrequited love,
lonely wind rebels
with desire and gives
a gift of sweet scent of lilacs,
your softly scented skin draped
by a satin scarf of secrets
carelessly dropped
from love's starry court.

My disheartened desire
radiates a pulsing glow
becoming ever distant,
receding into a dark
universe until its return
centuries away,
a rambling comet
celestially alone.
