Childhood days

I miss the place I used to go
a few years back in my childhood.
I used to run freely, dream freely,
and my mind would fly to unknown lands.

So comforting it felt,
never alone, always protected.
Broken knees were all my worries.
The world just happened around me.

I know how preposterous it sounds
I wish I could turn back time.
But life was more endearing back then.
Oh how do I long for my childhood days.
