I wrote this poem for my yearbook class to fill a page.
As we have grown older,
A lot has change in our lives;
Friendships become separated
And others are formed.
Loved ones are lost
And new ones are born.
But let us not forget them
For who knows what can happen.
Let us live one day at a time
For it may be our last day.

People change appearances
Even though we look at them
Day in and day out.
They change in personality,
Finding and becoming their true-self.
That is what every teen is doing:
Trying to find where they belong
And what the quest is for their life.

We never really know
Just what our life is about.
Our quest or goal in life
Changes everyday and situation.
Our quest one day may be
To help a person in need;
On another day, it may be
To add more character
To become a better person.

As pieces of a puzzle,
We get scattered around,
Trying to find a place in life.
As we go through this year,
A hope and wish is that
We grow more together.
Not just with school
But as a community, too.
Together,
we are the puzzle.
