Ever wondered what happened after Goldilocks disrupted the Bears' life? Find out here.
Preface:
When the Three Bears are away on a long overdue family vacation, a girl with blond ringlets visits their house. She displays atrocious manners by eating their food, breaking their chairs, and even sleeping in their beds – all without even a by-your-leave. She then rushes off to the safety of her indulgent parents’ mansion when the Bears return to find their home in a mess.

The Present
Mama Bear was in a foul mood. The camping trip was worse than she’d expected and she’d spent the entire weekend dreaming of going back to work on Monday morning. She taught young bears the art and science of keeping house, at the community center. On returning home last night however, she’d fainted after seeing the mess Goldilocks had made. She couldn’t believe how humans raised their children to be so insensitive and ill-mannered. Why, the fool of a girl had even chipped a priceless Wedgewood china cup. “When will they ever learn the value of anything,” she despaired. “If only I could get my hands on her…,” she fumed.

Papa Bear was no less angry. The camping trip was a disaster. His new fishing rod had failed to live up to the impressive claims made by the manufacturer. He couldn’t believe he hadn’t caught a single fish. He cringed with shame as he recollected how even lazy obnoxious Junior had caught half a dozen fish with his bare paws, no less. Driving back home, he’d had lots of time to think (seeing as no one else would talk to him). He’d planned to take Monday off and get a refund on the darned rod. He could use the money to get some flowers for Mama Bear – God knows, she was going through a bad time. Being a house-proud bear, she was naturally upset at the complete destruction of her well-kept house at the hands of a mere girl.

Papa Bear picked up the newspaper and threw it down after a moment. The fool of a girl had sat on his only pair of spectacles as she tried out his chair. He’d put some money on the underdog Tortoise (based on a hot tip) in Sunday’s Jungle Derby and now he couldn’t even check his winnings in the paper.

Junior, meanwhile, was on cloud nine, he’d found the love of his life – in Goldilocks. He liked to think of it as love at first sight – even though he’d only really seen her dashing away from their house. He was painfully aware that it was politically incorrect for a 30-year old illiterate, unemployed Bear to romance a 20-year old rich, spoilt girl, but he just couldn’t get her out of his thoughts. Every time he lay down on his bed, he could smell her sweet human smell (and her exclusive designer perfume) - that alone ensured that she was all he dreamt of. The fact that she was the only child of super-rich parents added to the feeling of love that he felt for her.

His reverie was interrupted by the shrill ring of the phone. “Get your fat ass down this minute. It’s high time you took the garbage out,” yelled Mama Bear’s voice. “I’m coming,” said Junior and reluctantly went down to the kitchen. As he came back in after disposing off the garbage, he confessed his feelings for Goldilocks to his parents. At first, there was a shocked silence. The scene that unfolded next would cause him amazement all his life. A slow smile spread all over his mother’s face as she came forward and hugged him and assured him of her support. As Mama Bear hugged him, she thought “Now I know what it is to kill two birds with one stone. Goldilocks can have my good-for-nothing son. She’s going to pay for all the havoc she’s caused – in more ways than one. Whoever said revenge is sweet sure knew what he was talking about!”
