There is unrest and unease right now with us
Today, or soon, we'll talk again
I'll tell you how I feel
You, I hope, will return in kind

We will decide, I hope, where we are going
Are we doing fine? Are we doing the right thing?
I hope we get more answers than questions this time

I am uneasy around you right now
You sit there, sullen and quiet, glancing at me
What do you want to tell me?

The car ride was quiet, sullen, only the occasional funny bit
The day was full of your fun and my boredom
In the car, it wasn't my fault we were late
In the room with your friends, it was my fault we were late

I decided I didn't want to argue there nor in the car, so I said nothing.
Today, or soon, I'll ask. I need to know.

Who are you? The happy one on Saturdays? The sullen one Sunday to Friday? Decide.
